WICKED

Many fans of the musical Wicked may have already experienced the magic of Gregory Maguire's novel which served as the inspiration behind one of the most "Popular" musicals of all time. If you haven't read it yet, be sure to pick up WICKED: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West and the other "Wonderful" books in the series: Son of a Witch, A Lion Among Men, and Out of Oz. Wicked flies on to the Fox stage December 12, 2012 – January 6, 2013.

LES MISÉRABLES

The 25th Anniversary production of Les Misérables will make its way to the Fox October 16-28 as the first show in our 2012-2013 U.S. Bank Broadway Series. This musical's fascinating history began with Victor Hugo’s classic novel, which was first published in 1862. The St. Louis Public Library has a wealth of resources available for the ultimate Les Mis experience including Victor Hugo's Les Misérables, the original Broadway cast recording and a DVD of the 25th Anniversary live concert

WAR HORSE

Before Joey took his first steps on stage at the National Theatre in London, and before he began his journey across the Atlantic to Broadway, he was first brought to life in Michael Morpurgo’s touching childrens book. War Horse is a wonderful book for young readers (ages 8-13), but we won’t blame you for wanting to read the beautifully-written story on your own. After you've read the book, be sure to experience War Horse live on the Fox stage March 13-24, 2013.

To search for these titles and more, visit the St. Louis Public Library’s website to browse their catalogue online. Happy reading!
